Swift on Server
For those that missed the Swift Server Conference, I've got good news and better news! The good news is that the recordings are already live!
In better news, the conference was full of new announcements! It's clear that Apple has expanded their efforts tremendously. The ecosystem is thriving more and more by the day.

This news can't have gone by you. But in case you missed it - Swift 6 is now officially released! Swift 6 now includes complete concurrency checking, making Swift backends even more reliable than they were!
The long awaited release of the Hummingbird web-framework is out now! As I demonstrated in this talk, it's jam packed with both feature- and performance improvements. But most importantly, it's a framework designed for Swift 6!
Now that Swift 6 is out, the Vapor core team has announced their move! In this blog post, Tim elaborates the design goals and next steps going forward.
Swift is becoming more prolific in systems programming. Swift Toolkit has a great post on how to handle interactive input in CLI tools. Definitely check the site out for more Swift (on Server) content.

Sebastien and Joannis have ran two more quarterly SSWG-organised online meetups, both of which were well received.
The third edition features a great Swift WebAssembly talk by Yuta Saito followed by a talk on Swift 6 by SSWG member and Apple employee Konrad Malawski.

During the keynote at the Swift Server Conference, Apple shared a new Java interoperability library. Apple's use is to bride existing Java code to- and from Swift. I'm even more excited for its future applications in bringing Swift interop to Android!
One important topic for Swift 6 is further emphasis on structured concurrency. This talk by Franz Busch (SSWG and Apple) helps you understand some essential patterns for structured concurrency.
